It will be fascinating to see how people take to him when he's so naturally charismatic but also not really human and far older than his body might suggest. There's a lot of potential for all kinds of CR to pop up just because he will enjoy talking to almost anyone.

Age: An adult summoned as a young teen who is actually a 2000+ year old spirit....... (It's complicated)
Canon World
There is a secret organization studying Servants (Heroic Spirits). They have a view into the future for 100 years and all is good. Save for the fact that someone comes in and blows up the organization killing a number of people. Now this person is going through history and causing deviations that could ruin the future. It is now up to the surviving few to go into various stages of the past using a forbidden ritual in order to save things before all is lost.
So the protagonist must summon many Servants in order to battle against other Servants, some of which have become corrupted. It is the only way to save Earth which now has a shaky future until a number of quests have been fulfilled to allow for peace to ensured once more.
The trouble is catching the man responsible when he keeps summoning Servants to do his bidding.
The good news is that these Heroic Spirits are being summoned by the protagonist as previously mentioned. They are souls of those those through myth, legend, and history who have now been summoned as warriors to fight. Each has their own attributes that make them strong in their own way as well as a Noble Phantasm that is a power they can launch which is a representation of something they were known for in life. The class they are characterized under is the same.
Alexander is one such Servant.
History
Series Wiki, Secret Organization Wiki, and Alexander Wiki
Because Alexander the Great's life has been recorded it is far better to focus on his times in the series. After all, one simply has to look up the man's name to know who his family was, how he believed himself to be the son of Zeus, that he was tutored by Aristotle, that he conquered so much land, and so on. These are all facts well known by the world. What isn't known as well is what happened after he died and became a Heroic Spirit to be summoned by the Holy Grail.
A boy named Waver Velvet summons Iskandar (the name Alexander took later in life) as the Servant Rider. He is bold and daring and does not treat the Grail War as well a war. He sees it only as a sort of stepping stone to achieve his goals. Still, he makes friends with others and even inspires Waver to be a better person and to grow up to be stronger. Together they fight in the Grail War until the Servant in the Archer class known as Gilgamesh kills him. There is no victory for him but it's not something that he regrets.
Sometime later Alexander is summoned again. This time in his child form before he is Iskandar and the King of Conquerors. Servants by nature are not meant to remember any previous summonings let alone their futures but it seems that Alexander does. Of course these are almost in a sort of dreamlike state for him. As if he remembers but like there is no sense of reality in it for him. He doesn't let this get him down though and goes to handle a part of Rome by ruling over it during the year 60 A.D. The best way to deal with someone trying to destroy it obviously.
The protagonist arrives in this part of history and works to restore history which includes having Alexander, and the other Servants trying to help, step down once all is done. In the end he ends up being part of a summoning for the protagonist and joins in the fights through other parts of history to restore them as well. Thus far he has seen the recovery of Rome, Okeanus, London, North America, and Camelot.
When not out battling he can be found back at the Chaldea organization where he happily greets his Master. It's there he can recover until the next fight. And now that Camelot has been restored there is no telling what could happen next.
After all, history is a big place.
Personality
To put it simply, Alexander is a little ray of sunshine. Though he's much older than he looks, he can still seem a child in many ways like how carefree his nature is. He is almost always guaranteed to have a smile on his face or laughter spilling out. It can be a joy to be around him and it's certainly hard to resist him when he comes up to ask for something or to spend time with another person. More so since very little throws him off. It seems that charisma has always been part of his nature and it's very easy for him to attract others to him.
He's been described as a “peerless pretty boy” who is the “personification of possibilities” and just looking at him one can see why this is. Alexander sees the world for all that it can be and all that he can accomplish with it. If there is something to learn about then he wants to be there to know of it. If there is a story to listen to then he wants to be right there to hear it. If there is a dream to be had then he's likely had it. The universe is but a vast open space that he has yet to take hold of. Even the smallest of things can be wonderful to him and he always wants to know more about those around him as well.
This is likely how he drags others into things. He's curious and he's charismatic. This means he obviously needs to have friends participating in things with him! It can be something as simple as a child's game and yet he will be sure to be asking around for someone to join him in and laughing with delight as he plays it. There are some who might be thrown off remembering their future or remembering who knows how many years but he seems to just find the wonder in it all instead.
At times it can seem like he's lacking a sense of reality when it comes to the bigger things. His state of remembering so much, somehow being an adult and yet not one, the war he's involved in. Yet when it comes down to something serious he's there to help. His priorities are the people involved and he just wants to see that they are taken care of and protected or saved somehow. He certainly means well no matter what the situation is and he will not hesitate to help to take down an evil when it rises. With that said he is aware that he doesn't look like someone able to fight but he's only mildly disappointed by this. It just means he has to be faster!
So one should watch out for this clever boy. He's open and honest but he is also quite the opportunist! He has no problem jumping in on something to get what he wants. Or attention. Attention is good too, you know.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Gifted Leader/Charming: Alexander is a naturally gifted leader who can charm his way into hearts. He can also charm one humanoid enemy for a short period. This does not always work but when it does it means the enemy will be charmed by him and unable to attack during that time. However, they must be considered humanoid to accomplish it. Demons would not have this work on them.
Intelligence: He's a prodigy, able to learn things quickly. He is constantly eager to learn more and even excels in things like music and poetry along with histories and tactics.
Small/Minor Strength: His body is small and, while he can fight well against those bigger and stronger, he is not necessarily strong himself. He's certainly strong enough to manage to handle himself against a number of enemies and is stronger than the average human but he's still got the disadvantage of that small body. What he can do is offer a possible boost in attack power to a small number of allies for a short time. This is only a small boost but sometimes a little bit can help.
Fast: What he lacks in strength he makes up for with being a fast. He can deliver a number of small hits quickly and does well with speed when it comes to dealing with those bigger than him or stronger than him. He can even boost the speed of a small number of companions for a short period of time.
Stubbornness: An advantage and disadvantage is how stubborn he can be. At times it can make him have a one track mind but it can also mean that he's not going to give up easily which can be good for being able to keep getting up and continuing on.
Positivity/Constant Smile: It's hard to keep him down. There are many things that might work against him or he might be surrounded by terrible things but he just keeps moving forward with a smile on his face. He can find the bright light in just about anything which is a rare thing for people. Of course some people may be thrown off by this but at least he's happy!
Upkeep/Servant Form: Servants require a lot of energy to keep around. Without a proper supply of mana (through magical contract with a mage), he must either consume the souls of those around him, the magical energy of a powerful location, or he must eat a lot of food. He's very likely to do the last of these which means lots of snacking. But he is also naturally resistant to diseases or intoxication. But if hurt he can go into Spirit form (invisible to the eye but sensed by those able to feel spirits) and recover. No carrying solid objects allowed like this but it is possible to go through walls and teleport some distance. Not through magic though.
Infused With Knowledge: Spirits also know all Earth languages by default and can use whatever technology is in the era they're summoned into. However this is a lot of information to remember so sometimes it's easy to forget little things (not to mention how he remembers past summons and his own future)! Also the technology thing isn't really going to help in this world but he was born into a less advanced culture so he'll manage just fine.
Magic Resistance: He has some magic resistance but this is not very strong and along the lines of an amulet that is one time use. It mainly helps him to resist magic used on him that might essentially make him weaker. He is not resistant to all magic all the time.
Riding: He also has the ability to make anything and any creature (minus Dragons) his mount due to his class as a Rider.
Rapid Healing: Unless the injury is caused by magic curses he will heal from the injury very quickly. This does take energy though so if he's short on mana in his system he's not going to be as fast about it. Which will make him weaker if left untreated.
Noble Phantasm - Bucephalus: The Beginning of Trampling Conquest: The ability to summon his horse Bucephalus for him to ride on and/or even to use as an attack for a blow to the enemy. This does require a bit of energy for the summoning though. It can take a bit for him to build that back up after he's released the summon on his horse.
The bottom line effect of the mechanic that brings Rifters to Thedas is that they must be made of the same "stuff" as native humans/elves/etc., even if that stuff takes a slightly different shape or has some unique abilities. In line with what we've required of other characters in the past, Alexander cannot continue to be a spirit, and will have the following limits on his abilities:
↠ His abilities will only be able to act on things/people within his line of sight.
↠ He'll be subject to mana exhaustion like native mages. He will also need to eat and sleep like a normal mortal.
↠ His immunity to disease will not include immunity to the Blight.
↠ He will not be able to completely dematerialize/have a Servant form as you describe. He may travel short distances by way of the Fade, like native mages using Fade Step, and he may have the ability to go temporarily invisible, but he'll always be solid.
↠ He won't have an innate understanding of Thedosian languages, other than Common, which everyone arrives understanding.
↠ He's welcome to the Inquisition's mounts (subject to the AC rewards requirements) but will not be able to make native wild animals accept him as a rider.
↠ He won't be able to summon his horse as described, but he is welcome to arrive with the horse in solid, mortal, non-spirity form.
Arrival Inventory
Aside from the clothes that he's wearing he'll just have his sword since that will be in a sheathe at his side. He doesn't tend to carry much of anything on him.
'Human'ization
Interestingly enough, Alexander looks just like a human. There will be nothing that needs to be altered about his appearance. With that said he is not actually human himself. He is a Spirit of a Hero from years ago. This means that he requires mana to bind him to the world. Without proper sources of mana to feed on (typically through some intimate contact or blood) then he will likely need to eat. A lot. He also will be immune to things like diseases and aging. One could say his qualities are something between demon and ghost but his classification is certainly that of a Spirit. Other abilities of this are listed in the Strengths and Weaknesses section. So basically he looks just like a human but he's really not.
Fit
This is an interesting character for this game because he's seen so much even if may of those memories are somewhat lacking in reality. Alexander will want to learn about everything that he can from the poetry to the histories to why they're doing what they do here. Just why are the people fighting and what led them to this? His natural curiosity and thirst for new things will lead him to want to learn more and to see how he feels about various conflicts. It's not easy to say what side he will pick for any situation until he's heard from many different sides.
This Spirit is someone who will want relationships above all though. Behind everything is a person and so it's the people of the land that he wants to bond with. He wants to know what they're thinking and why they like what they like. This is not really his land and he knows he's too little to think of trying to conquer it so he will prefer to just learn. It will make things interesting for those around him since he will still continue to be friends with those that are on sides he becomes opposed to. Better still he will likely be what one could see as neutral while favoring protecting others. Especially if they are powerless.
People may be thrown off by his appearance of a tiny teen but he's not one to let that slow him down. He's here to make friends and have fun and to learn what opinions he should form along the way! Though if he gets spoiled as a result too then he certainly won't say no!
SAMPLES
TDM Sample and Musebox Sample
Alexander had been spending a lot of time here in the tavern since there was a...a bard? Was that what she was? He couldn't quite remember but the stories she sang about amazed him. At first he'd thought they were just fantasy tales that people still loved. Imagine his joy when he'd realized they were actually the histories of this world. That made them so much more fascinating as he sat there at a table with his chin propped up on his hands and a smile on his face.
There had been times when his mother had told him stories like these. Many of those hadn't really been true though but these reminded him so much of his favorite poem. The Ilyad. Maybe he could teach someone the poem so they could sing the great tale together!
The song came to an end and someone came to sit down with him, offering him a plate of food. Likely they'd thought he was some poor child who was without parents or something of that nature. It was a thing that had been happening quite often here. He sometimes wondered why that was since he obviously could take care of himse...
Oh wait. He looked like a small boy. Riiiight.
He gave the woman a big smile. “Thank you!”
Before he even put a single bite in his mouth though, he was leaning forward. “Ah! Is that a staff? Are you a mage? I'd like to hear about that, if you please!”
The reaction he got was one of surprise over his sheer joy of being able to learn something new. But he'd always been like this, would always be like this. At least he was rather certain that he would in the future. There were times that was like a dream, like it was right there within his grasp before he was snatched away again. One could tell him those things had happened and he'd accept it but it just never felt like it was anything more than some fantasy his mind had created.
At least it was a nice one to dwell on.
Much like this food he was now eating with great gusto. He supposed he should find himself someone to help him get mana inside him but the vast amounts of food that he ate seemed to be helping so far. Not to mention it was like eating foods from his childhood again. Meats and vegetables roasted over fires with just a touch of spice. Though the stews were new! And he was finding he loved that the best!
Really this face just never failed to show him so many wonderful things despite the conflicts people seemed to be facing. Which this mage was describing to him now. Mentally he made a note to see if he could bug a Templar into telling him their thoughts. It was sure to be enlightening...
